The Glock 45 was introduced in 2018 as a result of feedback from U.S. law enforcement agencies. It combines the full‑size frame of the Glock 17 with the shorter slide of the Glock 19, creating a versatile “crossover” pistol suitable for both concealed carry and tactical use.
Interesting fact: the “45” in its name does not refer to the .45 ACP caliber — the pistol is chambered in standard 9×19 mm. The number is simply a designation within Glock’s product line.
The Glock 45 quickly gained popularity not only among police and military users but also in pop culture. It appears in films and TV series featuring SWAT and special operations, such as: John Wick: Chapter 3 and video games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Escape from Tarkov, where it’s featured as a modern service pistol.
